Privacy Policy: NoteList: Todo and Markdown
by Koushik Karmakar.
Last Updated: March 25, 2026.
NoteList does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or usage information from your device. Your notes, tasks, drawings, and voice memos are yours alone. As confirmed on the App Store, the developer has declared: Data Not Collected.
No Data Collection:
NoteList does not collect any data from you. No personal information is collected (name, email, phone number, etc.), no usage data or analytics are gathered, no crash reports or diagnostics are sent to any server, no advertising identifiers or tracking codes are used, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs are included.
Local Storage & iCloud Sync:
All data you create within NoteList — including notes, Markdown documents, to-do lists, freeform drawings, OCR-captured text, and voice memos — is stored exclusively on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your data is synced directly between your own Apple devices via Apple's iCloud infrastructure, governed entirely by Apple's own privacy policy. Koushik Karmakar has no access to your iCloud data at any point.
Third-Party Services:
NoteList does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing services. No data is sent to external servers operated by the developer or any third party. The only external service involved is Apple's iCloud, which is optional and used solely at your discretion for personal device sync.
Passcode & Face ID:
NoteList offers the ability to lock your notes using a passcode and Face ID. All authentication is handled locally on your device via Apple's secure frameworks. No biometric data or passcode information ever leaves your device or is accessible to the developer.
Children's Privacy:
NoteList is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. Since no data of any kind is collected, the app is inherently safe for children. NoteList does not knowingly collect any information from users of any age.
Changes to This Policy:
If there are ever changes to NoteList that affect how your data is handled, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and the update date at the top of this document will reflect that change. You are encouraged to review this policy periodically.

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, you can reach the developer via the contact form on this website.
